PAULINE YEAR: GERMAN BISHOPS, A WEBSITE TO LEARN ABOUT THE APOSTLE OF PEOPLE

The new website of the Bishops Conference for the Pauline Year was opened yesterday. The website www.dbk-paulusjahr.de provides basic information about Paul, his writings and the Pauline theology, as well as many passages and pastoral materials. In addition, the website contains bibliographic and literary references, cues for the Biblical pastoral and liturgical facts, news and a diocesan and inter-diocesan diary of the events planned for the Year. The German Bishops Conference meant to create something not only for the communities, adult training institutions, associations and teachers of religion, but also for all those people who wish to learn about Paul or take part in the initiatives planned for the Pauline Year. Many German dioceses and many Catholic centres will host events, pilgrimages and Eucharistic celebrations dedicated to Saint Paul. The Pauline Year, established by Benedict XVI on the occasion of the bi-millenary of the apostle’s birth, will be opened in Rome on June 28th and will end on June 29th 2009: an opportunity to rediscover the doctrine and spirituality of this evangeliser.
