The radio, acknowledged Pope Benedict XVI this morning, while talking to the representatives of the Catholic stations, "proposes closeness and listening to the word and music, to inform and relax, to announce and denounce, but every day, in respect of reality, and in a clear perspective of education to truth and hope". The truth "on man" and "for man", recalled the Pope, was given us by Jesus Christ. And hope "for the present and the future of the people and the world" starts from truth. "Owing to its link with the word finally added the Pope , the radio participates in the mission of the Church and its visibility, but at the same time, it generates a new way of living, of being, and of being the Church", with "ecclesiologic and pastoral" implications. Here is the importance to "let the Word of God become more attractive", to "touch the hearts of the men and women of our time" and "to take part in the transformation of the lives of our contemporaries".
