(from our correspondents from Australia) – "We are here to be the witnesses of the prince of peace and share our longing for peace. There’s in us a strong desire to meet young Christians from all over the world and share with them our being a minority": Wissam S. Mansour, leader of the youth pastoral of the Latin Vicariate in Jordan, explains with these words to SIR the meaning of the presence in Australia of a delegation of 47 boys and girls from the Holy Land, 20 from Jordan, 13 from Palestine and 14 from Israel. We are here he says to proclaim the unity of the Church that is present here. If the Holy Land is truly the mother Church, then we have to be here to return as witnesses, proud of our faith, even if we live as a minority. To the young we meet, we tell of the "beauty and pride of being Christians, and this is what we intend to do again back home". Over these days, the delegation is in Melbourne to attend the Days in the Dioceses, along with other dozens of thousands of young people.
