(From our correspondents in Sydney) Just in time not to have to renounce forever their dream of being there! The group of Iraqi youth due to participate in WYD, only six of them, will finally arrive in Sydney on Sunday, just before the final mass. Their participation and journey has been dogged by various setbacks, linked to the issuing of visas and flight cancellations, but things are now beginning to look up. According to the website Baghdadhope, "the situation has been partially resolved today. Partially means that only six people will be able to embark on the final leg of the journey: Father Rayan P.Atto and five youngsters from his parish, the Chaldean church of Mar Qardagh at Erbil. They will arrive in Sydney at 6.00 am on Sunday morning". "We were sad but none of us stopped hoping. We know we’ll really be the last to arrive, but our wish is that we should arrive in time for the Holy Father’s mass. We know that once we have arrived in Sydney we’ll still need help, for example, in finding accommodation and that’s why we are appealing to the organizers and the Iraqi community already present in the city. We will arrive in Sydney wearing the white T-shirts with the WYD logo and the slogan "Iraq group for peace", with a banner inscribed with the same slogan and the same image, and with the Iraqi flag. So finally we too will be part of the huge throng of people whom we see on TV and who are bearing witness to their faith and their love for God".
