(From our correspondents in Sydney) – Carina Broucek comes from Austria and grew up in a Catholic family, but a certain point in her life, she understood that one has "to love the Lord under all circumstances", not only when "it was more convenient for her". "My schoolmates she said during the wake noticed the change I underwent, and started challenging me on the moral teachings of the Church". "I knew she added – that showing my friends the liberty and the truth of the teachings of Christ would approach them to Him, and I wanted to encourage that". But it was not easy: "I knew what Christ had taught, and I wanted to defend the teachings of the Church, but I didn’t know what to say. Therefore, I asked the Holy Spirit to help me to serve Him and let me introduce Him to my friends". So, "when I found myself again in a debate, I was amazed about what I was able to communicate: words and ideas which I didn’t have before. I don’t know whether some friends of mine approached the Lord thanks to my words, but I rely on the fact that He is the work inside them. And I trust the fact that God enjoys our attempts to defend Him and to love Him as He only may be loved".
