ANGLICANS: MGR. FALEY (CATHOLIC), "WE PRAY FOR UNITY" (2)

” “According to mgr. Faley, "one of the contributions of the Catholic Bishops to the Lambeth Conference" will be "to offer the best possible contribution to the talks with the Anglicans as to how they can keep their Church united". However, one third of the Anglican Bishops will not attend the Lambeth Conference. But as to the future of the Anglican Communion, mgr. Faley says: "There’s always hope when we speak of the presence of Christ in His Church. We do not know where the Holy Spirit will blow and in what direction it will drive this Church". In the meantime, the Churches keep cooperating with each other: on Thursday 24th July, the Catholic and Anglican Bishops and the leaders of the Jewish and Muslim religions have planned a march to remind the governments of the whole world that they promised to cut world poverty down by half by 2015. "The fact they will give a joint testimony to the governments – says mgr. Foley – is evidence of the solidarity of the Christians. The dignity of the human being, which is at the core of the Gospel, must be protected at all costs".
