Amnesty International also asks to take "appropriate measures against the civil servants who have acted against the Slovakian law and to the detriment of the education of the Romany children of Pavlovce nad Uhom". In addition, they ask to make sure "the pupils’ registration will by no means be approved by the special schools, unless the mentally disabled children have been clearly, objectively and unambiguously diagnosed". According to the human rights agency, "such diagnoses should be made before placing the children at school, and the parents’ requests or consent should not be a decisive factor in such placement". "The segregation of the Romany children in the special schools that gave a lower standard of education concludes Amnesty International is a forbidden form of discrimination": hence the request to the manager of the regional school authority of Koice "to put an end to this situation in Pavlovce nad Uhom and everywhere else in the region of Koice".
