"Happy" for the release of Ingrid Betancourt and the other hostages, but also sad for the indifference about the colleagues kidnapped in Somalia, about whom there has been no news since June 30th, the day they were abducted. This was said to SIR today by Giuliano Bortolotti, president of the NGO "Water for life-Acqua per la vita", to which belonged the five abducted Somali people (four men and a woman) – Mohamud Abdi Aden, Faaduma Suldaan ‘Abdirahman, Abdirahman Yusuf Arale "John", Hassan Mohamed Ali, Murray Watson, Patrik Amukhuma -, who add up to the other members of Cins – Iolanda Occhipinti, Giuliano Paganini and Abdirahman John abducted on May 21st. "We are happy for Betancourt and her family says Bortolotti, who is at the head of the NGO founded in 1987 by the geologist and missionary father Elio Sommavilla but we hope this sign will help draw attention to the other kidnap victims too". "Europe took action for her, who will take action for our people?", he wonders in anguish. "We have no news, and no one has ever contacted us.
