"Centro Chiara Lubich" has been founded to "preserve and hand down the charismatic legacy of the founder of Focolari". It was announced this morning, in a release, by Movimento dei Focolari, adding that the new Centre will be chaired by Eli Folonari, who for over 50 years had been by Chiara’s side as her personal secretary. The centre states the release "aims at preserving and providing the whole Movement and the public, for the present and future, with the rich legacy that Chiara left. Documents are in the thousands: letters, speeches, sound and video recordings that have already begun to be preserved and filed". Eli Folonari’s close collaborators will be the first Focolari members, "the eyewitnesses of the founder’s intensive charismatic work. The project is new being studied because of the complexity of the job that will have to be addressed and that will need the contribution of several experts as well.
