The message includes also an exhortation to act together to support the family. "Christians and Muslims wrote Card. Tauran and Msgr. Celata, – must not hesitate to commit themselves, not just to helping the families in difficulty, but also to collaborating with all the people who take care to encourage the stability of the family institution, and the exercise of parental responsibility, in particular, in the field of education. Here, it is necessary to recall that the family is the first school, where one learns respect for the neighbour, its identity and diversity. Therefore, interreligious dialogue and the exercise of citizenship can’t but take advantage of that".
