Promoted by the Council of European Bishops Conferences (Ccee), from 26th to 28th September Bucharest will host the yearly meeting of the national directors of the university pastoral of the Bishops Conferences of the continent. The meeting, wanted by mgr. Joan Robu, archbishop of Bucharest and president of the Rumanian Bishops Conference, will be attended by about 60 delegates from all Bishops Conferences; for the first time, it will also be attended by delegates of several ecclesial movements and associations that are connected with the university pastoral. The meeting will be opened by an address by mgr. Robu and mgr. Marek Jêdraszewski, deputy president of the Ccee Commission for "Catechesis, school and university". The meeting will be introduced by Rev. Dr. Ferenc Janka, deputy secretary general of Ccee. Discussions will cover the university pastoral in Romania, the university students’ preparation to the next WYD (Madrid, 2011), as illustrated by mgr. Lorenzo Leuzzi, secretary of such Ccee Commission, and the progress of the Bologna process. Part of the meeting will cover the preparation to the VII European Day of University Students (March 2009) and the European Meeting of University Students (Rome, 27 July-2 August 2009).
