Tomorrow, Madrid will host the 210th meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Spanish Bishops Conference, which will have to approve the agenda of the 92nd plenary meeting, due to take place in Madrid from 24th to 28th November. In addition, as it usually happens during the September meeting of the Permanent Commission, news will be given of the 2007 balance sheets, the criteria for the allocation of the Common Inter-Diocesan Fund, and the forecasts of the Spanish Bishops Conference and its institutions and organisations for 2009, which will be submitted to the November plenary meeting for approval. Other items on the agenda include the possible choice of a venue for the National Eucharistic Congress that will be celebrated in 2010 and which will be organised by the Bishops Pastoral and Liturgy Commissions and the Secretariat General of the Spanish Bishops Conference, whose pastoral plan for 2006-2010 is focussed precisely on the Eucharist. As usual, the Permanent Commission will make some appointments and the Bishops Commissions will report about the progress of their pastoral plans.
