Why is it so difficult to arouse the interest of the public opinion in the search for unity and reconciliation that the Churches have been engaged in over the last few years? Is ecumenism substantially communicative?” These the questions asked by Karin Achtelstetter, in charge of communication for the World Lutheran Federation that about 40 spokespersons of the Orthodox, Anglican and protestant Churches are trying to answer in Geneva this afternoon.
