US election: Trump at the White House, “I will be everyone’s president. We’ll renew the American dream”

(from the United States) – Donald Trump won the US election, surprisingly surging back against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had been considered a winner just the day before. After an election campaign full of unfair blows (offences, lies, mutual allegations) and scoops (FBI investigations, stories of rough passes and strong statements), the NY-born businessman won with a good distance and prevailed in most uncertain states. Unlike in the past, lower income people opted for the Republican party, ethnic minorities (black and Hispanics first) did not turn out to vote for Clinton as much as her entourage expected, and, while men definitely chose Trump, women did not vote for Hillary so hugely as it had been taken for granted. “We must heal the wounds of our divisions”, Trump said in his triumphal speech. “We must get back together, like one people. I will be everyone’s president. Ours is a movement of millions of workers who love their country and want a better future. A movement of all ethnic groups, all religions, all backgrounds. People who want to do their part for America. We will renew the American dream”.
