Laudato si'
Organised by the Betânia Foundation, on February 25th, Colares (Sintra) will host a conference about environmental issues, called: “The urgency of an ecological citizenship”. The presentation states that in the morning some points of Pope Francis’s encyclical “Laudato si’” about “Taking care of the common house” will be discussed and then further investigated by father Joaquim Cerqueira Gonçalves, with a speech about “Theological foundations of Christian ecological spirituality”. In the afternoon, the participants will be called to reflect on “From systemic responses to personal and communal conversion: a new look to the challenges of our time”, then they can hear Isabel Sales Henriques’s speech on the book: “Green like hope, by Nicole Échivard”, which deals with the delicate topic of the protection of the planet.
