Ccee: new website Eurocathinfo.eu online now. Da Cunha, “a service for the spiritual unity of the continent”

“We decided to launch a restyled eurocathinfo on the day of St Benedict of Norcia, the patron of Europe, because, by following the founder of the Benedictine order, the website wants to be a tool and the cement of that spiritual unity that Europe needs more than ever now”: this has been said by mgr. Duarte da Cunha, secretary general of Ccee, a European ecclesial agency based in St Gallen, Switzerland, that today has put online a restyled eurocathinfo.eu, the institutional news website of the Bishops Conferences of the continent. “Like Benedict – da Cunha goes on –, who, with his evangelising efforts, managed to bring together populations that were divided in their language, ethnicity and culture, in the ’dark ages’ of the agony of the Roman Empire, by then dying out, the website now wants to be a witness to this mission of the Church that has never given up building and uniting God’s only people, through the announcement of Christ in Europe, in the certainty that Christianity still has a key role to play today in the building of the common European home”. The restyling of the website took one year and was carried out by the Portuguese agency noMundo (nomundo.pt). Eurocathinfo is a project supported by many partners in Europe, including the secretary of the website, Marin Oberan, a young man of the Bishops Conference of Bosnia Herzegovina.
