Bishops’ conference
“Charitable activities and programmes to support repatriation” are two of the key items on the agenda of the Plenary Assembly of the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina starting in Sarajevo tomorrow. Bosnian Cardinal Vinko Puljic, who is also the president of the country’s bishops, will chair the meeting. A press release announcing the Assembly also mentions a debate on “Pope Francis’ Motu Proprio in relation to the preparation and approval of the translation of liturgical books” among the items on the agenda. A Mass in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a meeting with the community of the Theological Seminary in Sarajevo will be among the highlights of the programme. The outcome of the Assembly’s work will be presented at a press conference at the Archdiocesan Chancery in Sarajevo on 4 November at noon.
