Hungarian Bishops: 35,000 dollars donated to people affected by floods in the Indian State of Kerala

The Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference has decided to give 35,000 USD in aid to support the population affected by natural disasters in the Indian State of Kerala, which have caused hundreds of victims, the displacement of many and great damage. “During this year’s monsoon period – a statement reads -, as a consequence of the floods and landslides caused by the heavy rain in the region, the authorities evacuated more than one million people and several hundreds are the departed”. The Hungarian Bishops ask “the faithful to remember the victims of the disasters in prayer”.
